ADULT BEGINNER – Learn to Sew a Heart Shaped Oven Mitten – 12th Feb 2025

Skill Level: Beginner (all welcome)

In this class, you will learn how to sew a cute and practical heart-shaped pott holder or oven mitten. Just in time for Valentine's! All fabric and insulated batting is provided. 

This class is ideal for brand new and beginner sewists. You’ll learn machine basics, such as winding a bobbin, threading the machine, and using basic construction stitches. Don’t be intimidated, just sign up!

* We encourage students to bring their own machines, as it’s best to learn on equipment they are familiar with. However, we have a limited number of machines available to loan, should you need one.

COST INCLUDES:

• Tuition and required materials
• Access to our cutting table and ironing station.
  
  

GAIN CONFIDENCE IN:

• How to thread your machine, wind your bobbin, etc.
• Working with woven fabrics
• Sewing multiple layers of fabric.
  
  

WHAT TO BRING:

• A working sewing machine. *
• Sewing Kit:  Polyester thread, thread snips, fabric scissors, tailors chalk/pencil or water soluble fabric marker, sewing pins, seam ripper/un-picker

CANCELLATION POLICY:

• Classes, once booked, are non-refundable.
  
• Should Fabric Romance cancel a class and we are unable to reschedule, a full refund will be made within 10 business days, however, a refund will not be issued for any classes cancelled due to extreme weather conditions or any other event beyond our control.
