KIDS STITCH CLUB – Thursday After School Sewing Club

Duration: 5 weeks

Time: Thursday 3:30pm to 5:00pm

Dates: Jan 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th, Feb 6th,

Age Group: 8 to 12 years

Our After School Stitch club is for 8 to 12 year old children. They will develop their sewing skills and creativity, while making new friends and sharing a beautiful learning experience together with their peers. This is a great opportunity for your child to learn while having fun. 

CLASS DETAILS:

Our after-school programme will feature a variety of engaging projects. Classes are 1.5 hours long and include a mix of hand sewing and machine sewing and elements of patchwork and appliqué. Some projects will be relatively quick whilst others may take several classes to complete.

In a world that often moves a little too fast, we encourage students to practise slow sewing. Learning to sew is as much about enjoying the creative process as cherishing the object students make.

Some of the skills we will cover during the classes

• Hand and machine sewing
• How to create a fabric or felt applique 
• How to use a sewing machine
• How to cut fabric
• How to cut out a pattern

COST INCLUDES:

All materials and use of equipment are included in these classes. 

WHAT TO BRING: 

Please ensure your child brings a drinks bottle with them and a snack if you wish.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

Classes, once booked, are non-refundable.

• Should you miss a class due to sickness or for any other reason, the class term fee cannot be reduced.
• Should Fabric Romance cancel a class and we are unable to reschedule, a refund will be made to the value of the class within 10 business days, however, a refund will not be issued for any classes cancelled due to extreme weather conditions or any other event beyond our control.
