ADULT BEGINNER – Learn to Sew a Bowl Cozy – 8th Jan 2025

In this class, you will learn how to sew a reversible bowl cozy — no more burnt hands from grabbing that hot soup bowl out of the microwave! All fabric and materials are provided. However, if you have a reel of cotton thread (not polyester!) in your stash, please bring it along.

This is an incredible class if you are new to sewing and want to make an adorable bowl cozy! As with all Learn to Sew classes, this class is ideal for brand new and beginner sewists. You’ll learn machine basics, such as winding a bobbin, threading the machine, and using basic construction stitches. 

COST INCLUDES:

• Tuition and required materials
• Access to our cutting table and ironing station.
  
  

GAIN CONFIDENCE IN:

• Setting up your sewing machine, threading and winding your bobbin, etc.
• Working with woven fabrics
• Applying fusible stabiliser (interfacing) to fabric
• Sewing multiple layers of fabric.
  
  

WHAT TO BRING:

• A working sewing machine.
• Sewing Kit:  Cotton thread, thread snips, fabric scissors, tailors chalk/pencil or water soluble fabric marker, sewing pins, seam ripper/un-picker

• Classes, once booked, are non-refundable.
  
• Should Fabric Romance cancel a class and we are unable to reschedule, a full refund will be made within 10 business days, however, a refund will not be issued for any classes cancelled due to extreme weather conditions or any other event beyond our control.
