The idea is that you wear something you have made yourself. You can sew a new garment if you like, but it’s also a great opportunity to wear an older outfit that you feel deserves another outing. And despite the name, you don’t have to wear a dress. We want this to be an inclusive event, so wear what makes you happy!

We welcome sewists and makers of all abilities, including cosplay enthusiasts etc. You are welcome if you are new to sewing and not made any garments yet. Anyone can join in!

Absolutely! It is a great way to meet other people who love sewing as much as you, and a great conversation starter is ‘I love your outfit!’

Yes there is a gents and ladies toilet on board. Please note, toilets are not wheelchair accessible.

No, the river and lake are very sheltered and shallow so waves do not build up. The cruise is very smooth.
